In the last two months, 102 complaints have been lodged with the electricity department from the district on WhatsApp. In this, about 80 percent of the consumers have complained related to the irregularities in the electricity bill. Apart from this, electricity poles are also informing about the problem of frequent power failure and tripping.
In this regard, Nodal Officer RKP Chaudhary said that after resolving ninety percent of the complaints related to the bill, information has been given to the consumers. Whatever complaints are coming regarding poles and shabby wire, it is informed to the concerned branch. Please tell that due to lack of publicity, complaints are reaching less on WhatsApp. More complaints are being given in the office of the electricity department. In August last year, the system of WhatsApp was started by the department. It was directed to give wide publicity to the WhatsApp number so that maximum number of users can send their complaints. At the same time, there is a provision to give information to the consumers on WhatsApp itself while taking action by all the concerned officials within the stipulated time frame.
