OBC Girls Residential +2 High School to be opened in all districts

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar reviewed the Backward Classes and Extremely Backward Classes Welfare Department in the resolution at 1 Anne Marg. In the meeting, Secretary of the Backward and Most Backward Classes Welfare Department, Pankaj Kumar, gave updated information about various schemes run by the department, which includes Chief Minister Extremely Backward Classes Medha Vritti Yojana, Chief Minister Backward Classes Medha Vritti Yojana, Other Backward Classes Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme, Other Backward Classes Pre-Matric Students Scheme, Chief Minister Backward Classes and Extremely Backward Classes Postgraduate Scheme, Other Backward Classes Girls Residential Plus Two High School, Jannayak Karpoori Thakur Welfare Hostel Scheme, Other Backward Classes Welfare Hostel Scheme, Pre-Examination Training Center Scheme, Chief Minister Extremely Backward Classes Civil Services Promotion Scheme, Chief Minister Backward Classes and Extremely Backward Classes Hostel Grant Scheme and food supply scheme in hostels.

During the review, the Chief Minister while giving instructions said that the ‘OBC Girls Residential Plus Two High School’ scheme should be opened and run in all the districts. He further asked the department to complete the construction work expeditiously in the districts where Jannayak Karpoori Thakur Kalyan Hostel is under construction. Under the Other Backward Classes Post-Entry Scholarship Scheme, Chief Minister Extremely Backward Class Meritorious Scheme, and Chief Minister Backward Classes Meritorious Schemes, he asked to pay the outstanding scholarship/incentive amount to the students. He said that for preparation of competitive examinations in OBC welfare hostels, Jannayak Karpoori Thakur welfare hostels, pre-examination training centers, OBC girls residential plus two high schools, SC/ST hostels as well as in all minority hostels. He further added that it is a matter of happiness that it has been informed that the students are being benefited a lot from the Chief Minister’s Extremely Backward Classes Civil Services Promotion Scheme. Engineering colleges are being opened in all the districts of the state, many medical colleges are also being opened so that the students of the state get their long due convenience in getting higher education.
In the meeting, Deputy Chief Minister-cum-Backward and Extremely Backward Classes Welfare Department Minister, Renu Devi, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Deepak Kumar, Chief Secretary Tripurari Sharan, Development Commissioner Aamir Subhani, Additional Chief Secretary (Education) Sanjay Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary (Finance) S. Siddhartha, Chanchal Kumar, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Pankaj Kumar, Secretary, Backward and Most Backward Classes Welfare Department, Pankaj Kumar Pal, Managing Director, Bihar State Bridge Construction Corporation Limited, Anupam Kumar, Secretary to the Chief Minister, Virendra Prasad, Special Secretary, Backward and Most Backward Classes Welfare Department and Chief Minister’s Officer on Special Duty Gopal Singh were present.
