Bihar : AC Electric Buses from Patna to Rajgir, Bodhgaya and Darbhanga

The operation of electric buses has been started by the Bihar State Road Transport Corporation for the Buddhist circuit, environmental protection being a major concern. AC electric bus service has started from Patna to cities like Rajgir, Bodh Gaya, Hajipur, Muzaffarpur, and Darbhanga. On Saturday, electric buses running from Bankipur Bus Depot to Patna to Bodh Gaya via Rajgir and Patna to Darbhanga via Vaishali and Muzaffarpur were inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister Renu Devi. Education Minister Vijay Chaudhary and Corporation Administrator Shyam Kishore were also present on this occasion as the chief guest for the event.

Deputy Chief Minister Renu Devi said that until 10 years back the condition of the corporation had become very dilapidated. The present government has tried to initiate the operation of buses by reviving them. In recent times, a lot of good initiatives have been taken up by the corporation. CNG and electric buses have been started as a city service. This is a good initiative towards environmental protection. Buses are being operated by the corporation for every city of the state. Now the corporation is exclusively operating electric AC buses for the Buddhist circuit.

Education Minister Vijay Choudhary said that the common people have expressed a lot of relief from the operation of luxury air-conditioned buses by the corporation. Today is the time to follow the path shown by Bapu. On this occasion, the administrator of the corporation said that now buses are being operated by the corporation for every corner of the state.
